After more than 100 hours, I thought I was done with AC Valhalla. I had explored 9th century England to my heart's content and was ready to move on. But then they announced that the DLC "Wrath of the Druids" was set in Ireland.

Do I want to explore 9th century Ireland? Yes. Yes I do.

One cool detail that I noticed was that the armor I was wearing began to wear and fade the longer I wore it.

The hemlines here are growing ragged and dirty from all my adventuring.

Here's a shot from later in the game. It's much easier to see the dirt and damage to the the fabric in this shot. Also, the hemline has become much shorter, probably because I kept accidentally setting myself on fire. Such a cool little detail to have in such a massive game.

The amazing Elaine Ash just told me that my novel could be written on toilet paper and left on the 405 and it would be still be discovered. Best book blurb ever...

I just discovered this Netflix original. The Charite is a teaching hospital located in Berlin. The show is set in 1888, in German with English subtitles and features many historical scientists such as Robert Koch and Emil von Behring and the beginning of microbiology as we know it. The production values are excellent, the writing is good, and they don't commit the cardinal sin of putting modern people into a historical drama. Definitely worth a watch.
